About Me
Hi! I’m Mary—a Kansas City transplant newly settled in Bellingham, drawn here by the mountains, community, and creative energy. I taught piano for two years at KC Music Academy, working weekly with 15–20 students, planning recitals, and helping each student find joy and confidence in their musical journey.
I’ve been playing piano for nearly 20 years (classically trained), and it’s become a lifelong source of peace, expression, and creativity for me. In lessons, I focus on building a fun, safe environment where students feel supported and engaged. Every student learns differently, so I tailor lessons to fit each individual—whether that means exploring favorite songs, improvising with piano games, or solving musical puzzles together.
